Throughout my 28 years of engagement with Information Technology, I have witnessed, and at many times stood up against decisions that were misguided by hype or were reacting in irrational panic to a business, technology, or #cybersecurity situation. Unfortunately, I saw many of these decisions result in negative consequences.
